Saturday
Another widespread frosty start and cold day again on Saturday for many, though milder air starting to pull on to some western areas. Winds become more southerly as a transition into a more Atlantic flow occurs. The day is likely to see more cloud about though, particularly later, though still with sunny spells for most. A mix of rain, sleet and snow showers push on to and affect western coasts and hills with some rain in western Ireland. Highs at 2 to 5C for most, while up to 7 or 8C in parts of the west.

Saturday Night
Overnight, clear for a time and dry across most of Wales and England, while wintry showers affect northern England into southern and central Scotland. Outbreaks of rain push across southern Irish counties and southwest England. Cloudy skies for all later in the night. Lows 1 to -4C, colder still across northern Scotland.
 

Sunday
Starting frosty again for many on Sunday. Expect strengthening winds, becoming gale force in the west, which will make many areas still feel cold. Outbreaks of rain, preceded by snow, move up from the southwest towards the northeast through the day. Some parts of northern England into the Borders culd see an inch or two of snowfall before the rain moves in, greater still over higher ground. Highs still struggling to get much above zero across the east by evening, but between 10 to 14C further west.

Monday
Low pressure to the west of Scotland on Monday which sees an unsettled day for all. A strong southwest wind with gales at times. Spells of heavy rain across southern England in the morning easing back with flooding becoming an increased risk here. Frequent showers, some merging into longer spells of rain across western areas, more persistent rainfall through western Scotland. Tending to be drier and brighter further east. A significantly milder day for all with highs at 10 to 14C.
