Scattered showers in east

Thursday
Mist and fog, particularly across England and Wales, along with some frost again to start the day on Thursday. Cloudier skies generally further north and west with some patchy rain pushing across northern and some through central regions of Scotland. Showers are likely to push on to eastern coastal regions of England. Otherwise dry and where the fog lifts expect developing sunny spells. Highs at 6 to 9C.

Thursday Night
Another largely dry and chilly night with mist and fog re-developing again and frost forming for some. Cannot rule out a few scattered showers pestering some coastal regions. Lows at -1 to 5C.

Friday
An increasing easterly flow for most on Friday but with a brisker wind about today there is a higher chance for the mist and fog to lift for many. Thicker cloud across the north with the best of any sunny spells across Wales and southern England. Scattered showers on to eastern and southern coasts of England, while some patchy rain brushes the far north of Scotland. Otherwise dry. Highs at 6 to 9C.

Saturday
The east to northeast wind flow remains over much of the country. Cloudier skies and possible frequent showers in the east. Thicker cloud and some rain for parts of Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Patchy rain across eastern areas of Scotland into the Borders and northern England. Highs at 5 to 7C.
