Wet and windy, heavy rain in the north and west, cold in that rain
A wet and windy Bank Holiday Monday as low pressure passes through the UK and Ireland. There will be heavy rain this morning in Ireland. This is going to be reaching western oarts of Wales, England and southwest Scotland by late morning. Drier in northern and eastern Scotland as well as eastern England at first.
This afternoon sees the rain in much of central and southern Scotland as well as most of England and Wales. The rain could be heavy at times. Drier in the far southeast of England, although rain here this evening. Staying dry in the far north of Scotland. Gales for many, gusts over 50mph in the west.
Rain at first tonight, clearing eastwards and turning more showery from the north and west. Staying windy with gales in places. Tending to become drier in Ireland and western Scotland as well as southwest England.
