Cloud and rain in far south. Sun and showers elsewhere.
This morning, expect cloudy skies with patchy rain across southern England and south Wales. After a chilly start, showers or longer spells of rain are expected across northern and central Scotland. Starting largely dry and bright through central and northern England into southern Scotland but cloud will build here as showers become more widespread.
This afternoon, the rain in the far south will clear from the west with drier and brighter conditions behind. Sunshine and showers elsewhere although most showers affecting eastern and northern England as well as Scotland where at times they will be heavy. Another chilly day.
Rain across southern areas clearing to the east through the evening with clear skies and largely dry conditions behind. For many, showers will largely fizzle out with largely dry conditions and clear skies about, however, showers will continue to push in across northern Scotland and northwest Ireland as well as through the Mersery and across north Wales. A chilly night once again with frost for some.
