Heavy rain for some in eastern England

Good morning,

A wet start across southern areas but brighter spells follow. Rain pushes north up eastern English counties through the day, falling heavy and persistent in places. Scotland too will see cloudier skies and outbreaks of rain about, mainly further south and east.

The west does look to fair better with the chance for developing sunshine and drier conditions. Though southern Irish counties do see some rain moving in here through the day.

Overnight, it becomes windy again in the west with outbreaks of rain moving in across Ireland, Wales, southwest and southern English counties. Cloudy skies with heavy rain across NE England moving across much of Scotland though lighter and patchier here. Largely dry elsewhere.
