Damaging winds and gusts

Good morning,

Oubreaks of rain, heavy in places, across the UK in the morning with gale force winds and gusts. Brighter weather developing across Scotland by midday with blustery, frequent and heavy showers, mainly in the west.

The afternoon sees brighter and in many areas drier weather graudally develop across England and Wales too, though showers still expected in the west, some merging into longer spells of rain across northwest England and Wales. Gale force winds and gusts still.

Frequent, heavy showers across western Scotland through the night, while longer spells of rain look to push south across Scotland and into northern England by dawn. Drier elsewhere though a few showers affecting western coasts and hills cannot be ruled out. Staying windy.
