Windy with heavy showers or rain in the north, drier to the south

A windy morning in western Scotland and much of Ireland. Showers in western Ireland and western Scotland with more persistent rain in northern Scotland. Other areas are going to be dry overal with some sunshine in the north and west. Some patchy rain in southeast England at first but these should ease.

This afternoon brings more heavy showers and windy weather in Scotland and the far north of England and Northern Ireland. Drier for other areas with sunny spells. Cloud in the southeast of England but dry. Feeing milder in the south, but cooler in the north.

Tonight sees showers fading from Scotland. All areas then fair with clear spells and turning cold in these areas. Cloud increasing in southern Ireland and southwest England later, with rain arriving here.
