Sunny spells south and east
Good morning,
The week ahead has a mix of very typical autumn weather across Britain, starting off with some fog patches for central and southern areas this Monday morning, before things turn wet and windy for all through midweek.
A fine day ahead today across much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland under a ridge of high pressure. Sunshine and broken cloud once early mist clears. Cloudier toward the Irish Sea.
Strengthening southwesterly winds for Scotland and Northern Ireland as a frontal system approaches from the Atlantic. Rain will push in and turn increasingly heavy and persistent for western Scotland into the afternoon. Patchy rain reaching central and southwest Scotland, heavier later.
Temperatures will rise after a cool start, reaching 16 to 19C over England and Wales, 13 to 16C for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Have a great day. Garry
