Cloudy and unsettled, rain and drizzle, most in the west

Rain this morning in western

Rain pushes into northern England and southern Scotland this afternoon. Elsewhere in England, Wales and Ireland it will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain. More persistent and heavier rain in southern Ireland later on this afternoon. Fair in central and northern Scotland with sunny spells here.

Further rain tonight, most in Ireland and through western parts of the British Isles. Drier in the east but some patchy rain is possible here too. Lots of low cloud, mist and fog over western coasts and hills. Drier in northern Scotland, some bright spells here.
