Heavy showers affecting Ireland, western and southern Scotland this morning. Most other areas will be dry with a fair amount of cloud. There will be some bright or sunny spells, mostly in Wales and northern England as well as the far south of Ireland. The afternoon brings a few showers over western Wales and southern England. More persistent showers or rain in northern and western parts of Ireland as well as much of southern Scotland. Drier in northern Scotland, although a few showers in Orkney. Drier elsewhere and brighter, the best sunshine in the east. A warm day at 18C in the southeast, a cooler 12C in rain in western Scotland and western Ireland.

Saturday Night
A wet night to come through Ireland, with rain, heavy at times moving into Wales, southwest and southern England, and then into the Midlands by daybreak. A few showers in western Scotland, dry in much of central and eastern Scotland. Drier and cloudier too over northeast England and East Anglia. Very mild at 13C in the south, 9C in Scotland.
 

Sunday
Low pressure south of Ireland brings another unsettled day. A band of rain moving through Ireland and northern England into southern and central Scotland. Heavy showers and some longer spells of rain in southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England, these showers then moving north and east. Drier in the far northern of Scotland with some bright or sunny spells here. Highs at 17C in the south, 12C in northern Scotland.

Monday
Low pressure passing through the British isles. This takes an area of rain northwards, some of it heavy. Showers affecting western and southern coasts and again these may be heavy. Becoming drier in central and eastern areas with some bright or sunny spells developing. Highs at 17C in east Anglia and the southeast, 12C in western Scotland.
