Rain clearing to brighter spells

Good morning,

After a wet start for many rain will quickly clear from the west. Brighter weather soon follows with sunny spells developing for many by lunchtime.

Some showery rain still to affect parts of north and west Scotland heading into the afternoon. Largely dry elsewhere. Patchy rain expected to reach southern coasts of England towards the evening. A very mild day again across the south.

Overnight, rain pushes northwards affecting Ireland, Wales and much of central and southern England. Cloud increases further north too but it should stay mostly dry here.
