Frost, snow over hills

The beginning of April will be cool and unsettled, with low pressure producing a mix of sunshine and heavy showers. These will give hail and thunder, plus snow over higher ground. There will be a frequent risk of frost overnight.

Tuesday 02/04/19
Low pressure moves across northern Britain. A cold day with showers. There will be a few brighter spells, the best in the east. Snow over high ground of Scotland and northern England as heavier showers pass through. Highs at 5 to 11C.

Wednesday 03/04/19
Low pressure moves toward the North Sea, bringing showers and cold weather across central and eastern Britain. Drier to the west but bands of showers are likely to affect west Wales & southwest England. Windy in the east. Highs 7 to 10C.



 
 
 

Thursday 04/04/19
Further showers in the east with lower pressure being closer by here. Higher pressure in the west with dry weather persisting. Generally feeling cool, with a risk of frost overnight. Highs 8 to 12C.

 
 
 

Friday 05/04/19
Little change with the low pressure close by in the east giving showers here. Fronts may arrive through Ireland and the west of the UK with some showery rain. Drier elsewhere. Staying cool at 8 to 12C.

Saturday 06/04/19
The risk of some showery rain in the south and east. Perhaps drier to the west, although confidence in low. Highs 9 to 13C.

Sunday 07/04/19
A mixed but uncertain outlook. Temperatures probably lifting a little, but some rain or showers are likely. Highs 10 to 14C.
