Unsettled with wind and rain

The weather is going to be more unsettled through the weekend and into next week. Rain will be affecting much of the country through Saturday and Sunday, most of it in the west. Staying unsettled next week with showers or rain on most days. It may be windy too. Temperatures are likely to be around average for the time of year.

Sunday 3/3/19
Low pressure over southern Ireland on Sunday. Fronts will be affecting Ireland and the southern UK. These give cloud rain together with strong winds. The rain may become heavy as it posts north in the afternoon. Showers in northern and western Scotland but dry in the east. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Monday 4/3/19
An unsettled day on Monday as a cool westerly airflow affects the country. There will be showers, some frequent in western areas. It may be wet in the morning across northern England and Scotland, windy in the northeast too. Snow affects the Highlands and Grampians as well as parts of the Pennines. Highs at 6 to 10C.

 

Tuesday 5/3/19
Cool on Tuesday. Low pressure brings rain into the south of the country. More northern areas should be brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 7 to 10C.

 
 
 

Wednesday 6/3/19
Low pressure dominates again on Wednesday. This brings a mix of sunshine and showers. There is a risk of moe persistent rain in the east. Brighter in the west. Highs at 6 to 8C for most, but 12C in the far southeast.

Thursday 7/3/19
An unsettled day with rain arriving on fronts driven in from the west. It may become windy as well. Most rain in the west. Highs at 7 to 10C.

Friday 8/3/19
Low pressure remains dominant on Friday. This brings a further risk of rain and showers, most in the north and west. Highs at 7 to 10C.
