High pressure builds bringing more settled conditions to the UK and Ireland this week

More settled weather conditions return to the UK and Ireland as high pressure builds next week. Drier and brighter for most away from the far northwest. Milder for all.

Tuesday 26/03/19
High pressure remains centred over southern England on Tuesday affecting the UK and Ireland. It is likely to be a chilly start to the morning with a few mist and fog patches possible. The day is likely to be dry and sunny over most of England, Wales and Ireland as well as southern and eastern Scotland. Some cloud in northwest Scotland allowing for a few spots of drizzle here. Highs at 9 to 14C.


Wednesday 27/03/19
High pressure is centred over the Irish Sea on Wednesday. Again, there may be a few early morning most or fog patches around. More dry weather with good spells of sunshine after a chilly start. Some cloud may affect western coasts and hills bringing a few spots of rain to northwestern Scotland. High temperatures at 10 to 16C.
 


Thursday 28/03/19
Pressure stays high on Thursday which allows for plenty of dry weather and sunny spells. A weak front may push some cloud east across Scotland and parts of northwest England. A risk of some patchy drizzle in the far northwest. Highs at 11 to 17C.

 
 
 


Friday 29/03/19
High pressure may shift further south on Friday allowing a front to bring thicker cloud and light rain to northwestern parts of Scotland and Ireland. Staying mostly bright, dry and mild for England, Wales and southeastern parts of Ireland and Scotland. High temperatures at 11 to 18C.


Saturday 30/03/19
Early indications are that an area of low pressure may develop to the west of Ireland. This would bring a cooler day with showers for Ireland and more persistent rain in the far north. Windy across Ireland and western parts of the UK too. High temperatures at 10 to 17C.

Sunday 31/03/19
An area of low pressure may be located to the north of Scotland on Sunday bringing a cooler, windy conditions to the UK and Ireland. A mostly cloudy day with showers in the west and more persistent rain in the north. High temperatures at 8 to 14C.
