Monday 04/03/19
An unsettled day on Monday as a cool westerly airflow affects the country. There will be showers for most, some frequent in western areas. These will likely fall as snow over the Highlands and Grampians, and as a mixture of sleet and snow over the Pennines and Cambrian Mountains. A wet start to the day too for the southern half of Wales and southern England with some particularly heavy rain for south-central England. This should ease through the afternoon to leave a mixture of sunny spells and showers. A drier and brighter day for northeastern areas. High temperatures at 5 to 9C.

Tuesday 05/03/19
Cooler on Tuesday as the westerly airflow prevails. An area of low pressure brings rain to northwestern parts of Ireland and Scotland while western parts of England and Wales will see some showers. Drier and brighter in the east where some good sunny spells should develop. Highs at 6 to 10C.

Wednesday 06/03/19
Low pressure dominates again on Wednesday bringing a mixture of sunshine and showers. The heaviest showers will be over Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland. A windy day in the south too. Highs at 5 to 8C for most, but 11C in the far southeast.

Thursday 07/03/19
A ridge of high pressure briefly builds over the country on Thursday morning bringing a mostly dry and bright start to the day before the next low pressure system moves in from the Atlantic. This will bring rain to Ireland and western fringes of the UK by the evening. Highs at 6 to 11C.

Friday 08/03/19
Low pressure remains dominant on Friday. It will be a rather wet and windy day for most areas with the heaviest rain in the west. Snow over high ground in Scotland. A risk of gales too for most areas. Highs at 7 to 11C.

Saturday 09/03/19
Continues very windy and wet as low pressure stays nearby. Wettest in the west and south with snow over higher ground. Drier and brighter in the north and east. High temperatures at 8 to 12C.
