Tuesday 12/03/19
Low pressure stays to the north of the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. A band of heavy rain will clear southeastward over England and Wales through the morning and early afternoon. To the north of this front will be strong westerly winds which will bring persistent rain and wintry showers to western areas. Becoming drier and brighter in the east later. Highs at 5 to 8C.

Wednesday 13/03/19
An area of low pressure is forecast to track southward along the east coasts of Scotland and England through Wednesday. This will put most of the country in a cold northwest to northerly airflow. Rain, some of it heavy, will affect western areas through the morning, falling as snow over higher ground. Through the afternoon rain will ease in the west but northeastern Scotland and eastern parts of England could see prolonged spells of rain. High temperatures at 5 to 10C.

Thursday 14/03/19
Fronts push eastward over the northern part of the country on Thursday bringing rain to Northern Ireland, Scotland and the northern half of England. This will be particularly heavy for western Scotland. It may be windy here too. Drier to the south with broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. High temperatures at 7 to 12C.

Friday 15/03/19
A front will push south over the island of Ireland, England and Wales through Friday. The rain associated with the front will ease as it tracks south. To the north will be very strong westerly winds which will bring showers, or persistent light rain to western and northern parts of Scotland. This will fall as snow over higher ground. Highs at 6 to 12C.

Saturday 16/03/19
A cold northwesterly flow will dominate on Saturday bringing a mix of sunshine and showers. Showers will be wintry in nature and will affect northern and western coasts and hills. Highs at 5 to 10C.

Sunday 17/03/19
Sunday sees a more northerly airflow establish over the UK and Ireland. Another cool day but drier and brighter overall. Some wintry showers could affect northern coasts and hills. High temperatures at 3 to 9C.
