Mixed with heavy showers

Friday
Low pressure dominates once again on Friday giving another mixed day. The morning sees plenty of sunshine about and many staying dry, though showers become more prevalent in the west, some heavy with the risk of thunder and lightning. The afternoon sees the showers become more widespread across the country, many with heavy bursts of rain within them, possible hail and lightning too. Blustery winds through England, Wales and Ireland. Highs at 9 to 13C.


Friday Night
Showers continue overnight with longer spells of rain across northern England and Scotland. Turning chilly across parts of northern and central Scotland, though reasonably mild elsewhere with lows dropping to 3 to 7C.

 
 
 


Saturday
Low pressure is east of the UK on Saturday which pulls down a colder northerly air flow into northern areas. Plenty of susnhine across central and southern England and Wales but also a few showers about too. Cloudier across northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland where showers are more widespread with some merging into longer spells of rain. Snow possible over the higher ground in Scotland. Tops at 7 to 13C.


Sunday
A cooler day for all on Sunday. Thicker cloud and rain gradually clear from Wales and then much of England through the day. Brighter further north with plenty of sunshine but also showers, these turning increasingly into snow across northern Scotland. Showers, some likely wintry, will push down on to eastern regions of Scotland and NE England. Tops at 5 to 10C.
