A fair morning for many with long spells of sunshine. A few spots of rain in the far southeast at first. Cloud increasing in Ireland and western Scotland as rain arrives in western Ireland by mid-morning. This rain then edges east through the rest of Ireland in the afternoon reaching western Wales and southwest Scotland by evening. Sunshine fades in other areas in the afternoon as cloud invades, although sunshine remains in East Anglia and the southeast. Highs at 9 to 11C.


Sunday Night
Rain across much of Scotland and northern England tonight. Low cloud and lots of drizzle, mist and fog affecting western coasts and hills. Becoming murky and milder for much of the rest of England and Wales with outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the Midlands. Most rain in northern England and southern Scotland as well as the far southwest of England by morning. Lows at 4 to 8C.


Monday
Rain through Scotland and Wales as well as western parts of England today. Some of it may be heavy at times, especially in western Scotland. Cloudier skies in the rest of England with drizzle at times and cloud shrouding hills. Little change into the afternoon with rain in the west and north, low cloud and drizzle in more central and eastern areas, although an odd brighter spell may develop in the east. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.


Tuesday
Rain clears eastwards overnight into Tuesdayalthough lasts into the morning in northern Scotland. Heavy showers for western Scotland with some showers too over western Wales and western England. Brighter for other areas and drier with sunny spells, best in central and eastern parts. More rain into Ireland by mid-afternoon, spreading quickly east. Breezy with highs at 9 to 12C.
