Thursday
Low pressure west of the country on Thursday. A dry and bright yet breezy start for many before showers soon push in on to western areas, again with a risk of thunder and lightning. Longer spells of rain are expected across central and southern Scotland for a time before breaking up and clearing by midday. Later in the afternoon spells of more persistent rain will affect south Wales and central and south-eastern counties of England, clearing from the west here by evening. Winds will ease back through the day. Highs at 9 to 12C.


Thursday Night
Rain clearing south-east England by midnight with clear skies and mostly dry conditions across central and southern England. Showers, some heavy and merging into longer spells of rain, across Wales, northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Lows at 4 to 7C.
 


Friday
Low pressure dominates once again on Friday giving another mixed day with sunngy spells and showers. Showers heaviest and most frequent towards the north and west with the risk of thunder and lightning still in affect. Highs at 9 to 13C.

 
 
 


Saturday
Low pressure is east of the UK on Saturday which pulls down a colder northerly air flow into northern areas. A bright and sunny day for many though cloud will soon build as showery rain pushes through, falling wintry over the higher ground. Perhaps more persistent snowfall towards higher ground across southern Scotland into northern England later. Tops at 7 to 12C.
