Unsettled yet mild
Rain and heavy showers

Thursday
An unsettled day with outbreaks of rain and fresh to strong winds crossing the country. Some snow over the hills of Scotland initially but with the milder air moving in it will quickly transition to rain. Some bright spells developing as the day progresses and as the rain moves away, although there will be heavy and potentially thundery showers about across the country including Ireland throughout the day. Highs around 7C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England and Ireland.


Thursday Night
Showers continue for some overnight, mainly through western regions, but plenty of places staying dry too. Some showery rain affecting parts of SE England too throughout turning more persistent by morning here. Lows at 5 to 9C for most, cooler across northern Scotland.
 


Friday
Low pressure just to the west of Ireland on Friday which will give widespread showers, at times heavy and possibly thundery, across Ireland as well as across western areas of the UK. Drier with the best of the sunny spells towards eastern areas and across many regions of Scotland, though SE England seeing some persistent spells of rainfall for a time. Highs at a mild 12 to 15C.


Saturday
Low pressure sits close by Scotland on Saturday giving further showers, some heavy and perhaps thundery, as well as longer spells of rain. Northern and western Scotland as well as Wales and northern England seeing some rather heavy and persistent rainfall at times. Highs at 9 to 14C.
