Morning Call - September 09, 2018
Variable cloud
Patchy rain

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 9th September 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Warm south-east, cool north-west

Good morning,

A weakening cold passes east across Britain, and a general west to southwesterly airflow influences the country.

Largely dry in the south and east of Britain, with some sunshine breaking through. A little patchy rain possible for central-southern England in the morning, and some rain around west Wales and north-west England.

Most rain will tend to fade. Skies tending to brighten for Wales, northern England and Northern Ireland, but expect a lot of cloud cover.

Scotland will see showers in the west, giving locally frequent rain for the Highlands. Eastern Scotland should stay dry much of the day.

Today's top temperatures will reach 20 to 22C in the south, 15 to 18C for the north and west, but only 13C in western Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
