Morning Call - September 16, 2018
Some northern rain
Dry in the south

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 16th September 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain or drizzle edges south into England and Wales but starts to fizzle out. Some sunshine to the north and south of the rain band.

Good morning,

Currently some rain across Southern Scotland, Northern England and North Wales, pushing on into South Wales and the Midlands during the morning but starting to turn light and patchier as it does so. Further to the south and east a largely dry day to come with some sunshine, just perhaps a little drizzle in the Southwest. Brightening up from the northwest across Ireland and Scotland, albeit with some showers, mainly in the north and west. Rain moves into Southern Ireland overnight, with drizzly outbreaks in some western parts of England and Wales and a few showers for Western Scotland. To the east it will stay dry but with skies tending to become cloudier.

On the cool side for the north and west with highs of 13 to 15C, 17 or 18C in the Midlands but a warmer 22 to 24C in Southeast England.
