Heavy rain at times for northern and western areas and becoming windy later. Drier and brighter further east

Good morning,

Spells of rain for Scotland and Ireland today, becoming heavy at times. Wales and some western parts are likely to see occasional light rain or drizzle but dry for central, eastern and southern parts with some sunshine breaking through. Watch out for the winds picking up later aroung Ireland the Irish Sea later, as an active low approaches from the southwest.
More wet weather to come in the north and west tonight and windy for a time across Wales and Northern England with a risk of gales. The southeast stays dry and very mild overnight, though.


Highs 15 to 19C the north and west, a warmer 22 to 25C towards the southeast.
