Morning Call - September 08, 2018
Cloudy, patchy rain
Dry much of Scotland

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 8th September 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Wettest in west Wales

Good morning,

High pressure lies to the south of Britain, whilst a frontal system trails in from south-west to north-east across England & Wales.

Outbreaks of rain or drizzle will mostly affect western areas, although patchy rain spreads east across England during the day. Heaviest and most persistent rain affects Snowdonia.

Southern England should be largely dry, but expect occasional drizzle and cloudy skies. A southwesterly breeze will be strongest around western coasts.

A little rain affect south-west Scotland, but much of Scotland will be dry, with spells of sunshine developing, mostly in eastern areas.

Today's top temperatures will reach 20C in south-east England, 15 to 18C for many places, but just 13C in western areas where rain lingers.

Have a great day.
Garry
