Morning Call - September 12, 2018
Southern rain, clearing
Scottish wind & showers

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 12th September 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain in the south at first, showers and strong winds in Scotland

Good morning,

A narrow band of moderate to heavy rain tracks south through the Midlands and Wales at first this morning. A few spots of rai ahead of it in East Anglia and southern England. The rain fades as it heads into southern England during the morning and afternoon, clearing southern coasts this evening. Heavy showers and gales in Scotland, a risk of hail in some of the showers. These will be continuing through the day. Dry conditions in between.

A chilly night under clear skies in southern parts of the country tonight, striong winds and showers affecting western parts of Scotland.
