Breezy, gales and showers in the west

Good morning,

Still a few hours of severe gales in northern England early this morning but the winds will be easing. Having said that it will be remaining breezy for all throughout today with gales on western coasts and hills. There will be some sunny spells this morning for most areas and apart from a scattering of showers in the west it should be dry. Those showers will become more widespread in the afternoon in western parts. The east tending to stay drier and brighter. Winds will be strong southwesterly overall but gale force in the west. Warm in the east, cooler to the west.

Broken cloud through tonight with the showers and winds easing. However, more gales and rain may return to western Ireland towards Wednesday morning.
