Feeling cool; wintry showers Scottish mountains

Good morning,

High pressure resides west of the British Isles today, whilst a cool northwesterly flow influences the country.

A weak cold front sinks southwards across England & Wales, bringing cloud and a few spots of rain, chiefly around western coasts and hills, but amounting to very little. Frequent showers affect northern Scotland, these wintry over the mountains.

Southern regions remain generally fair, with the best of the sunshine in the far south-east in the morning. Cloudy skies extend across central England and Wales. Some cloud breaks will form across the north in the afternoon.

Today's top temperatures will reach 15 to 17C for the Midlands and south, nearer 12 to 14C across the north & west of Britain and Ireland.

Have a great day.
Garry
