Increasingly wet in western Scotland

Good morning,

High pressure is centred toward the south-east of Britain. A fair day across England, Wales and eastern Scotland with plenty of sunshine. Early fog patches will soon clear.

Fronts encroach from the Atlantic into western Scotland and the north-west of Ireland bringing increasing amounts of rain or drizzle here. Some rain extends to south-west Scotland and north-west England tonight.

A strengthening south to southwesterly wind affects west & northern regions, up to gale force in the Western Isles.

Today's top temperatures reaching 17 or 18C in East Anglia and the south-east, 14 to 16C elsewhere, or nearer 12C for western Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
