A cloudy, wet and windy day for most but turning milder.

In the morning, rain will affect Ireland, Northern Ireland, southwest England and Wales with snow to higher ground here. Some patchy rain, sleet and snow affecting some parts of Scotland but there will be largely dry yet cloudy conditions here. Mainly dry but cloudy and feeling damp elsewhere. Windy in the west particularly.

In the afternoon, it will continue to be wet for most, although rain should clear Ireland snd Northern Ireland later in the day. Rain will push across central and southern areas of England, however, the far southeast should remain largely dry until evening. Windy still.

Overnight, rain, with possible sleet and snow to higher ground, will gradually clear England and Wales from the northwest, being confined to the far southeast of England by dawn. Showers easing off elsewhere. More rain will push into southern and southwestern Ireland through the early hours. A relatively milder night than of late with lows largely staying above zero, well above in the west.
