Lots of sunshine, plenty of dry weather

A fine day ahead for many today. There are some early fog patches here and there in parts of England and Wales, although these soon clearing. Quite a chilly start too. For most there will be good spells of sunshine this morning and light winds too. Some more cloud in Scotland, a little drizzle in the north.

This afternoon should stay fair and bright for most. Cloud will be broken and and there will be some long periods of sunshine. Always more cloud in northern and western Scotland, as well as the west of Ireland.

Chilly tonight with a touch of frost under clear skies in England and Wales, the risk of a few mist of fog patches too. An area of cloud move through western Scotland and Ireland bringing one or two spots of rain here.
