Morning Call - February 21, 2021
Showers northwest
Patchy rain England, Wales

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 21st February 2021
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A weak front draped across England and Wales will bring patchy outbreaks of rain here today. To the northwest of the front, it's a breezy day for much of Scotland and Ireland. Bright here too with blustery showers. To the southeast there will be variable amounts of cloud and it will stay mostly dry.

Good Morning,

A band of patchy rain extends from southwest England across Wales and the Midlands to east and northeast England. To the southeast of this front it's a mild start with variable amounts of cloud. To the northwest it's brighter but with frequent showers and coastal gales.

Rain fades briefly through the afternoon before firing up again to the southwest. Remaining rather cloudy here though and to the southeast. Staying brighter to the northwest with frequent showers continuing for western parts of Ireland and Scotland. Winds start to ease here. The best of the sun in these areas too.

Further rain affects southwest England, Wales and parts of northwest England into the evening. Showers tend to fade over western areas with clear skies over western parts of Scotland and Ireland. Staying cloudier to the east.

Have a good day!

Claire
