Heavy periods of rain in England, showers and some rain elsewhere, milder

Good morning,

Periods of heavy rain extending through England during the course of today. Given that the ground is so wet it is not taking much to cause some flooding and this is likely to continue today. Drier in Scotland and northern England as well as much of Scotland.
 

This afternoon stays wet in England and Wales, again some of these could be heavy. Drier still through this afternoon in Scotland and much of Ireland. Temperatures turning milder in the south, this milder air drifting north. Rather murky and misty too. The rain extends north through the night, some of it heavy. Further rain in eastern areas. Showers in the west. A milder night for all.
