Morning Call - December 30, 2019
Outbreaks of rain north
Mostly dry elsewhere

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 30th December 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Outbreaks of rain affect Scotland through the morning but it's mostly dry elsewhere. Mist and fog patches are expected to affect central and southern parts of England and Wales and may be slow to lift.

Good morning,

It's a dull start to the day for northern and western areas as fronts bring cloud over much of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland and outbreaks of rain into northern and central parts of Scotland and the far northwest of Ireland through the morning. Dry and bright for much of England and Wales though there will be some mist and fog patches around for central and southern areas.

Rain becomes increasingly light and scattered as it pushes south through Scotland and into the far north of England and Wales through the afternoon where it will be no more than an odd isolated shower. Cloud increases over northern England and Wales though. Staying dry and bright ahead of this for southern areas though some stubborn patches of fog may linger. A drier afternoon for Scotland and Ireland. Highs ranging from 7 to 11C.

A mostly dry evening though scattered showers may affect southern parts of Ireland. Cloudy for central areas. Clearer skies to the north and south.

Have a good day!

Claire
