Morning Call - December 18, 2019
Morning fog
Wind & rain to west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 18th December 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Early freezing fog slowly lifting, strong winds in west with rain edging east

Good morning,

Some dense, freezing fog again this morning over much of Wales, the Midlands and parts of northern England. This will be slowly lifting, although may linger until late morning in some areas. Once it has cleared the day should be dry with good spells of sunshine for most.

Stronger winds in Ireland with some rain in the west. This rain will be edging east through the morning and becoming heavy. The rain reaching west and south Wales as well as southwest England by mid to late afternoon. Drier in other areas, the best of the sunshine in the east. Becoming damp overnight as rain spreads east and north through the UK. Turning milder with lots of mist and murk too.
