Low pressure north of Scotland on Friday. A front brings rain into southeast England, with a further area of rain probably affecting western Scotland. Drier in other areas with bright or sunny spells. The rain continues in western Scotland into the afternoon with rain slowly clearing the southeast. Showers affecting western coasts, although generally dry and bright for most. Another area of rain moves into the far southwest and along southern coastal counties of England through the late afternoon. Highs widely at 5 to 8C, 9 or 10C to the southeast and southwest of England.

Friday Night
Outbreaks of showery rain affect southwestern Ireland, western Wales, northwestern Scotland and southern and western coastal regions of England through Friday night into Saturday morning. A cloudier night for western areas with clearer skies to the east. Breezy for southeastern parts of England. Overnight lows staying above freezing for most at 1 to 7C, colder in the countryside.

Saturday
Areas of showers affecting eastern Ireland, west Wales and northwest England as well as southwest Scotland on Saturday morning. A few showers too in southeast England. Low pressure moves into southern Ireland later bringing rain, and this rain turns heavy as it reaches west Wales and southwest England. Through the afternoon this spreads across the Midlands and into the north of England. The best of any drier weather will be for Northern Ireland and Scotland where there could also be some good spells of sunshine to the east. Highs at 4 to 9C.

Sunday
An area of low pressure clears to the east of England on Sunday morning taking rain with it. A breezy day too for many areas. A few showers in western Scotland which may merge to give longer spells of rain. These turn to snow over higher ground too. Showers too for western Ireland as well as the west of Wales and southwest England. Drier for central and eastern areas though the odd shower may develop here at times. High temperatures at 4 to 8C.
