Christmas Day
Morning mist and fog patches to start Christmas Day. However these will play quickly and the day will be fine with plenty of sunshine for most. A low risk of isolated showers affecting northern Scotland, and this risk continues into the afternoon.Cloud increases in western Ireland and southwest England bringing a threat of rain by the evening. Winds ill be increasing in the west too. Highs at 6 to 8C.


Christmas Night
Heavy rain and strong winds in western parts of the UK through the night. This rain edging slowly eastwards. Eastern areas tending to be drier through to the later part of the night. Northern Scotland remains dry too. Lows near 3 to 7C.

 
 
 


Boxing Day
Wind and rain edges eastwards as low pressure becomes established weather of Ireland. The rain edges north and east through the day. Heavy showers following through Ireland, Wales and western parts of the UK. Drier in the far north of Scotland. Highs at 5 to 10C.

 
 
 


Friday
Rain in the east on Friday morning as a front clears to the east. A ridge of high pressure builds into the west bringing drier weather and broken cloud. There will be some bright spells developing here and there, but western coasts and hills may stay cloudy with some drizzle and low cloud. Tops at 7 to 12C.
