Thursday
Some early mist and fog patches in southeast England at first on Thursday. These will be clearing to leave some hazy spells of sunshine through the day. Cloudier and windier away from southern coasts. Gales affecting western Wales, northern England, Scotland and much of Ireland. Heavy rain in western Scotland with drizzle over other western coasts and hills. Tending to be drier in the east of Scotland at first, but some rain herein the afternoon. An increasing risk of drizzle over the hills of northern England an Wales too. Highs at 8C in southern England, 12C in southern and western Scotland.


Thursday Night
Staying windy overnight into Friday. Drizzle and patchy rain on western and northern coasts and hills will be extending eastwards during the night to affect many areas. Heavier rain affects these western coasts and hills during the second half of the night. Lows at 6 to 10C.
 


Friday
Low pressure north of Scotland on Friday with a front clearing eastern and central England taking rain with it. Showers and brighter weather follow from the west, the showers heavy at times on western coasts and hills. A windy day for all with gales in the west, although these should ease during the day. A tendency for the showers to erase fort many in the afternoon, although staying heavy in western Scotland. Highs at 9 to 12C.


Saturday
A ridge of high pressure builds on Saturday. This is going to be bringing fairer conditions and lighter winds to start Saturday. There will be sunny spells. A front over western Ireland will be giving rain, and this rain spreads east during the afternoon to be over much of Scotland, northern England, Wales and southwest England by late afternoon and evening. Becoming windier too. Highs at 7 to 12C.
