Rain and showers passing east, perfect sleigh flying weather tonight!
Good morning,
A wet start to Christmas Eve in northern England and Northern Ireland. Brighter in central and southern parts of England and Wales, although showers in southwest England and western Wales. Some showers in southern Ireland too. Further showery bursts of rain affecting western Scotland, but fair in central nd eastern Scotland.
This afternoon sees further showers, some heavy across Wales, southern and southwest England, these moving into the Midlands through the late afternoon. Drier to the east. Scotland stays mostly dry with variable cloud, but some showers in the west, Further showers in western Ireland too. Tonight should become drier for Father Christmas and the Reindeer. Coud will break and so there should be a good view of the ground. Still a few showers in western Scotland and northwest England, and if he choses a flight plan which sees him heading south, there could be a brisk northwest cross wind affecting the sleigh. Generally though, a perfect night for flying.
