Morning Call - December 22, 2018
Dry for many
Showers north-west

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 22nd December 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Fairly mild, quite breezy

Good morning,

Low pressure resides north of Scotland, whilst a brief ridge builds over south-western Britain today.

A general westerly pattern exists across the British Isles, with a few showers, mainly in the west of Scotland and Ireland. A few local showers elsewhere, but many central, southern and eastern districts will be dry with sunny spells.

Another broad low moves in from the south-west into Saturday night, pushing fronts into Ireland and the south-west, turning wet for many places, and leading to a poor Sunday for much of England and Wales.

Today's top temperatures will be 6 to 8C in the north, up to 9 to 12C for the Midlands and south.

Have a great day.
Garry
