Rain in northern England and southern Scotland, drier and windy in southern England and Wales

Good morning,

A wet morning from Northern Ireland, through northern, eastern and southern England this morning. Most of the heavier rain has cleared eastwards. Drier weather is already following into southern Ireland, Wales and western England. Dry in much of central and northern Scotland and staying cloudy here as well as feeling cool.

Heavier periods of rain affecting southern Scotland and northern England. A few showers over western Wales as the winds increase to gale force on western and southern coasts. Brighter in other areas with some sunny spells. An area of heavier, showery rain follows through southern Ireland later.

Areas of showers crossing England, Wales and Ireland, some of them heavy. Windy in Ireland, Wales and southern and central England. Scattered showers in northern Scotland and staying cool here.
