Sunday 11/08/19
Low pressure stays in charge, with the main feature centred toward the northeast, but a secondary low likely to affect northern Britain. Areas of heavy showers or some longer spells of rain for northern Britain and Ireland. Brighter with sunny spells and passing showers in the south. Northern Scotland may become drier with sunny spells. Breezy in the south, but less windy than Saturday. Cool in the north, fairly warm in the south. High temperatures at 14 to 23C.

Monday 12/08/19
Precise detail is uncertain. A west to northwesterly flow prevails. A trough of low pressure continues to influence the British Isles. Generally a mix of sunshine and showers, although there will be local variations. Some places may see rain for a few hours, whilst others will be more often dry. Gusty winds and feeling rather cool. High temperatures at 14 to 21C, warmest in southern England.

Tuesday 13/08/19
Pressure is expected to briefly build from the south. Sunny spells and a good deal of dry weather for many places. Showers will affect windward western coasts, and a few will move inland through the day, but well scattered. Another area of low pressure approaches from the southwest later bringing strong winds and outbreaks of heavy rain to Ireland and the southern UK. Highs 14 to 21C.

Wednesday 14/08/19
Low pressure passes gradually northeastward bringing widespread strong winds and outbreaks of heavy rain to northern parts of the UK. A cold front brings rain for a time across England & Wales. Brighter skies follow from the west with scattered showers for Ireland, Wales, southern and central England. Highs at 12 to 20C.

Thursday 15/08/19
A northwesterly flow may temporarily establish over the British Isles bringing a bright day with scattered showers - these most frequent in the west. Rather cool. High temperatures only 13 to 19C.

Friday 16/08/19
A brief ridge of high pressure builds from the southwest, with short-lived dry weather before the next Atlantic low moves in. A chilly start, and a fairly cool day again, highs 14 to 20C.
