Mainly dry
Some cloud/drizzle in east

Thursday
Some cloud again affecting eastern parts of England and Scotland on Thursday and some coastal regions seeing some drizzle. Feeling fresher in the east too and this is down to a weak cold front passing through from east to west. Otherwise high pressure remaining the dominant weather feature with the best of the sunny spells in the west. Highs at 17C on eastern coasts, 20 to 23C inland.

Thursday night
Further cloud tonight in eastern Scotland and eastern England. This could be thick enough still to produce a few spots of drizzle on eastern coasts still. For most, the night is going to be dry with clear spells and temperatures are expected to drop. Slightly more cloud cover as the front across Northern Ireland and Ireland as the cold front passes through here. Lows dropping to as low as 6 or 7C in places.

Friday
Cloudier skies to start through central into southern areas of England including eastern coasts where there could be drizzle, however, as high pressure is dominant still, sunshine will soon break through for most. Best of the warmth further west. Temperatures reaching 18C on eastern coasts, 21 to 24C elsewhere.

Saturday
High pressure remains in control of the weather through Saturday. A relatively chilly start for some. Thicker cloud bringing light rain/drizzle for a time first thing is also expected across far southern into southeastern regions of England. Cloud looking to become more widespread further north where temperatures may struggle in places, but where there are lengthy spells of sunshine expect it to feel warm. Highs at 17C in the east, 23C in the west.
