Some cloud/drizzle in east

Friday
After a relatively chilly start for some, expect perhaps cloudier skies through central into southern areas of England including eastern coasts where there could be drizzle, however, as high pressure is dominant still, sunshine will gradually break through for most. Best of the warmth further west. Temperatures reaching 18C on eastern coasts, 21 to 24C elsewhere.

Friday night
Largely clear skies and dry conditions overnight. Again some mist and fog may form in places, particuraly towards the SE of England. First thing the fog could be thick enough to bring some drizzle to far southeastern coasts of Kent and Essex as well as through the Western Isles in Scotland. A chillier start for some with lows dropping to 6 or 7C again. Lows at around 10 to 14C further west and under the cloud.

Saturday
High pressure remains in control of the weather through Saturday. A relatively chilly start for some. Thicker cloud bringing light rain/drizzle for a time first thing across far southern into southeastern regions of England. Cloud looking to become more widespread across Scotland later where temperatures may struggle in places, but where there are lengthy spells of sunshine expect it to feel warm. Highs at 17C in the east, 23C in the west.

Sunday
High pressure is northwest of Scotland on Sunday. The northerly flow affects all areas bringing broken cloud and sunny spells. Little change is expected during the day. Highs at 17C on eastern coasts, 21 to 23C elsewhere.
