Thursday
A fair start to the morning for most of England and Wales. There will be well broken cloud and some good spells of sunshine, this hazy due to high cloud in many eastern and southern parts of England. The best sunshine in eastern Scotland and northeast England. Breezier with some rain arriving into western Ireland in the morning, this edging eastwards and becoming increasingly showery. The rain arriving in western Scotland by mid afternoon, a few spots into northwest England by evening. Overall it is a sunnier afternoon for much of England Wales, eastern and southern Scotland as well as Ireland. Highs at 17C in western Scotland and Ireland, 19C in southern Ireland, 24C in parts of eastern England.


Thursday Night
Clear skies for many at first this evening. A few residual spots of showery rain reaching southern and central Scotland, and a strong wind in western Scotland and northwest Ireland with showery rain here.During the night cloud will be increasing through England, Wales and southern Ireland, the risk of some drizzle along western coasts later. More persistent rain could affect western Scotland later too. Lows at 7 to 12C.


Friday
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Friday will be affecting all areas. A fron through Scotland and Northern Ireland gives cloud and some showery outbreaks of rain, breezy over western areas too. A weakening front over southern England allows for some cloud here, but most of England, Wales and southern Ireland starting the day dry. Thicker cloud may stream into southwest England and southern Ireland later, bringing some drizzle as a further front arrives. An increasing risk of fog around southwestwestern coasts and hills. Dry elsewhere with some bright or sunny spells. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, a warm 24C in eastern England.


Saturday
An area of low pressure is expected to be passing through Ireland and into Wales and England on Saturday. This brings periods of rain with it, most to Ireland and Wales, but rain too across parts of the Midlands and northern England. Probably staying drier in the far south of England, although some drizzle and low cloud could affect southern coasts. Brighter in Scotland but some showers developing here, especially in central and northern areas. eastern parts of Scotland staying drier and brighter. Highs at 24C in any sunshine in southern England, a muggy 17C in the rain areas, 15 to 18C in Scotland.
