Friday
Low pressure in the North Sea heads towards Denmark on Friday, sweeping an associated weakened front of cloud and patchy rain southwards through England and Wales clearing from the north through the day. A frosty and sunny start to the far south before cloud builds here with some patchy rain in places during the afternoon. Dry and fine further north with bright and or sunny spells though showers pushing on to northern and eastern coasts and hills, falling wintry over the higher ground through Scotland. Feeling chilly exposed to the wind in the east though temperatures around a fair 7 to 10C.


Friday Night
A largely dry, clear and cold night with temperatures dropping back more extensively across the country. Scattered showers will push on to northern and eastern coastal areas and hills, falling wintry over the higher ground. Lows at -2 to 3C.

 
 
 


Saturday
High pressure builds in from the west across the British Isles on Saturday bringing a largely dry day with sunny spells, the best of these in the north and west. After a chilly and more widespread frosty start expect a brisk north-easterly wind bringing a risk of more cloud and some scattered showers to eastern England. Feeling chilly exposed to the wind in the east and south. A morning frost in some areas and a cooler day with highs at 5 to 8C.


Sunday
High pressure is dominant over the UK and Ireland again on Sunday. Breezy in southern areas and feeling cold in that wind. Some sunny spells, the best of them in the north and west. Cloudier skies at times in the east. Highs at 5 to 8C after a morning frost.
