A cloudy day for most with outbreaks of rain during the morning clearing for a time before more rain is expected to move in to western areas later in the day when winds will start to strengthen. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 13C in southern England.

 
 
 


Thursday Night
A wet and windy night across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England, severe gale force winds for some and gales for many. Drier further south though cloudy and lighter winds though still breezy. Lows at a mild 7 to 11C.

 
 
 


Friday
Low pressure to the north of Scotland passes east into Scandinavia through Friday. Gale force winds and outbreaks of rain ease back across Scotland and northern England. Showers to follow across north and west Scotland. Dry and rather cloudy in other areas with an odd spot of drizzle here and there. Mist and fog over northern and western coasts and hills. Highs near 9C in Scotland but to 15C in southern England.


Saturday
Starting rather murky, misty and damp across southern England, Wales and parts of southern Ireland on Saturday before becoming drier and gradually brighter. While further rain or showers are likely to move across northern and western regions of Britain. Temperatures may be slightly lower than Friday, but still on the mild side, highs 8 to 13C but 5C in northern Scotland.
