High pressure stays in control of the weather across the British Isles on Sunday. Dryer weather for most areas and feeling cold. Broken cloud in the morning over much of England and Wales, although these cloud breaking further to allow some bright spells to come through. The best sunshine in central and western Scotland. Dry too in Ireland with sunny spells. Tops at 6 to 8C.
 


Sunday Night
Broken cloud tonight in northern and eastern areas. Dry for most although there will be a few showers being clown into eastern parts of England. Further showers could affect the coasts of Kent. Lighter winds and clearer skies in Scotland. A widespread frost away from the cloudier skies in the east, lows at -4 to 0C but 2C in the east.
 


Monday
Another cold day on Monday. There will be more cloud, mostly over northern England and Wales where there will be a few spots of rain in eastern areas too. Brighter in the south with some sunny spells and further broken cloud here. Better sunshine and dry weather in Scotland, especially in the west. Highs at 6 to 8C.
 


Thursday
A cloudier day with high pressure remaining centred over northern Scotland on Tuesday. The northeast wind brings extensive cloud in eastern and southern areas. Some showery bursts of rain, although these could be more persistent in parts of southeast England. The best sunshine always in western Scotland and Ireland. Feeling cold for all at 6 to 8C.
