Thursday
High pressure sits to the west of Ireland ridging in across much of the country on Thursday. After a frosty start for some and bright for many in the north cloud will soon push in with outbreaks of rain moving in across northern and western regions, some snow towards higher ground. Meanwhile cloud and showery rain will gradually clear southern England and south Wales through the day allowing for the brighter weather further north to push through. Highs at 6 to 9C.


Thursday Night
Cloud and patchy rain move south down the country overnight, snow towards higher ground further north. Remaining dry with clear skies lasting across far southern English counties. A chilly night across southern England where a slight frost is expected for some. Lows at -1 to 5C.
 


Friday
Low pressure in the North Sea heads towards Denmark on Friday, sweeping an associated front of patchy rain through southern England and Wales clearing from the north through the day. Elsewhere will be largely dry with sunny spells though some showers are to be expected on the northerly wind, falling wintry over the higher ground through Scotland. Temperatures around 7 to 10C.
 


Saturday
High pressure builds across the British Isles on Saturday bringing a largely dry day with sunny spells, the best of these in the north and west. A risk of some cloud affecting parts of eastern England where a few scattered light showers could push across. Feeling cool in the breeze in the east and south. A morning frost in some areas, with temperatures then rising to 5 to 8C.
