Showery rain clearing from the west. Cooler.
Good morning,
A cloudy and wet start to the day across much Wales, England and eastern regions of Scotland. Outbreaks of rain will gradually clear from the west with sunshine and showers to follow, these showers falling wintry across the higher ground.
Sunny spells gradually develop across western and central regions of England though still with some showery rain about, mainly in the east by the end of the day. Brighter, cooler though with showers across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Showery rain gradually clears south and east England through the night with clear skies following. More cloud pushes in across the far west with showers, these merging into longer spells of rain, across north and northwest Scotland. A chillier night with a frost expected to develop further north.
