Early fog, sunny spells. Windy north.

High pressure remains in England and Wales with some frost and fog patches at first for much of the southern half of England and Wales. These slowly lifting with sunshine developing.
Increasing winds in northern England with broken cloud. Scotland stays windy with a risk of gales, especially in the north and west where cloud will thicken and outbreaks of rain will push into northwestern areas.
Rain spreads southeastwards and clears overnight across Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland into northern England and Wales. Expect brisk and blustery winds on the front and behind. Dry with clear spells further south thugh cloud and a few spots of rain will move in later. Lows dropping close to zero for many dropping below across parts of SE England.
